- Payment Information: Processed directly by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store complete credit card numbers.

- Provide core matching services: connect your legal needs with qualified attorneys.
- Identity and license verification: verify attorney bar credentials and standing.
- Platform safety and risk management: detect fraud, harassment, and policy violations.
- Dispute resolution and compliance: maintain records to meet regulatory requirements.
- Service improvement: analyze aggregated usage data to enhance features and user experience.
- Notifications: send you updates about case status, quotes, and platform announcements.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Matched Attorneys: Basic case details (category, location, urgency) are disclosed to qualified attorneys. Your personal contact information is not shared until you select an attorney.
- Payment Processors: Necessary transaction data is processed by PCI-compliant third-party processors (Stripe).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information in response to court orders, subpoenas, or as required by applicable law.
- Service Providers: Our technical infrastructure providers (hosting, email services) may access necessary data under strict confidentiality agreements.
4. Attorney Data & Public Records
Certain attorney profile information displayed on this platform — including name, bar number, admission date, licensing state, and office contact details — is sourced from publicly available records maintained by state bar associations, state courts, and government agencies across the United States.
This information is considered public record under applicable state open records laws, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and state equivalents. The collection and display of such publicly available information is a lawful and standard practice in the legal industry, consistent with platforms such as Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Justia, and state bar association websites.
We make reasonable efforts to keep this data accurate and up-to-date through periodic synchronization with state databases, but we do not guarantee the real-time accuracy or completeness of any attorney listing. For the most current information, please consult the relevant state bar association directly.
Opt-Out / Information Removal Request
If you are a licensed attorney and wish to have your publicly sourced information hidden from this platform, you may submit a removal request by emailing privacy@law119.com with the subject line "Attorney Opt-Out Request".
Please include:
- Your full name as it appears on your bar license
- Your bar registration number and state
- A brief statement requesting removal
We will process your request within 30 business days. Please note that opting out will hide your information from public search results on our platform but does not affect the original public records maintained by your state bar association.
5. California Residents' Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know: What personal information we collect, use, and share.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Exercising these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Since we do not sell personal data, this right is automatically satisfied.
